Hello, first I just want to say Thank you to the creator of this forum and the moderators and all the contributing members. I have also been reading posts for awhile and have finally signed on. The posts here have helped me when I was so depressed and just wanted to give up, literally. After reading others experiences has given me hope and I know I need to fight this.
I'm 47 female and have developed SD, roseacea and ocular rosacea-(very scary). Also having hair loss and folliculitis which I have never had in my life and having allergies. So I really believe and know it is demodex as the only thing that helps is tto, permethrin or ivermectin but did not get rid of it. The doctors I have been to are not really understanding of the demodex. It was my GP that prescribed the ivermectin. Crazy, I just don't understand. After reading the forums and I am going to ask for Soolantra because it probably needs a long term approach, which I am sure they have never heard of or prescribed before. What is really strange is when I used the permethrin or ivermectin it took away the SD and rosacea ocular problems(of course it came back). This is very strange indeed.
