I've read so many great things about Dr. Chu here and his ability to help with severe flushing. I was wondering if there was a U.S. version of Dr. Chu--someone really excellent at helping to medicate or otherwise treat severe flushing? There seems to be such a consensus that Dr. Chu is one of the "best" but I haven't found a similar consensus re any U.S. doctors.
I've horrible flushing for a year now, especially bad at night when I sleep but getting worse and worse during the day. It's getting increasingly reactive and painful--seems to flare if I do anything now that even slightly raises my body temperature, and has spread to my ears, shoulders and chest recently. The burning pain is so severe I feel there must be a neurogenic component (tried gabapentin with no results). I'm nervous to try laser as I also have bad dermatitis that I've been struggling to control. I live in the Philly area but would be willing to travel anywhere to get some relief and expert advice. I've seen many derms and most seem unsure what one can really do about severe flushing. Thanks for any advice!
